Upon making an investment, you will need to create an Investor Centre account (or login if an account has already been created) by clicking here & selecting “Register Now”. Then, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Communication preferences
  • Distribution preferences
  • Tax File Number/Australian Business Number (TFN/ABN) and/or Exemption Codes
  • Tax residency certification

COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES

BlackRock pursues a sustainability strategy that seeks to minimize our impact on the environment while ensuring a high standard of service to our clients.

In our ongoing commitment to reducing global paper consumption, the default communication preference for all iShares ETFs investments is email. Postal statements will not be sent to clients unless specifically requested via Computershare Investor Centre. If you haven’t already given us your email address or would like to update or change your communication preferences, you can do so via the Investor Centre portal.

After providing an email address, all statements related to your iShares ETF investments (distribution & tax statements amongst others) will be conveniently emailed to you by Computershare.

CHESS holding statements (sent by the ASX) will still be issued via post. The ASX issues these statements at the end of each month (one statement for each security) if there has been a change in units held in that month.

DISTRIBUTION PREFERENCES

Elect whether you would prefer a cash distribution paid by direct credit to your nominated bank account or opt into a Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRP).

TFN/ABN AND/OR EXEMPTION CODES

Tax File Number/Australian Business Number (TFN/ABN) and/or Exemption Codes

If you choose not to quote any of the above, iShares is obliged to deduct tax at the highest marginal tax rate plus any applicable levies.

TAX RESIDENCY CERTIFICATION

We will need you to complete this certification to determine your country of tax residence.
